Juan Ramirez, a.k.a. Subsonic began his journey behind the decks in Bogotá, Colombia, deejaying in clubs, underground parties, and festivals, carrying a suitcase of vinyl records. His music label Rebel-Music was active in the local scene together with Dj Kmmy Ranks, developing and mixing electronic and Black music. Now located in Zürich since 2009, he has been collaborating with his brother Daniel Posada for the music labels Rund and Panacea. Mixing groove tech-minimal and dance music with influences of South American grooves with strong percussions, Subsonic is coming back to the roots of electronic music to elevate people’s souls and keep bodies moving, creating a rhythmic dance-floor experience.
